Fedorov said these were only the early reports on the aftermath of the attack.

He reported that Russian forces killed a 60-year-old man, while hospitals treated two men aged 65 and 62 and a 58-year-old woman. The strike destroyed houses, and fire broke out in one of them.

Russians conducted at least four airstrikes on Novohryhorivka.

In total, on the morning of June 12, reports indicated that Russian troops had conducted 498 strikes on 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast over the past day, injuring two people in the village of Malokaterynivka.

Meanwhile, in the Donetsk Oblast, the Russian army personnel attacked civilian vehicles using FPV drones, killing two people and injuring four others.

According to the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, at 10:40 am on June 12, Russian troops launched an FPV drone attack on the village of Illinivka in the Kramatorsk District. A 79-year-old woman died from her injuries near a public transport stop. A 52-year-old bus driver and a female passenger were also injured and received medical assistance.

Two hours later, Russian forces struck a civilian car in the village of Mykolaipillia, part of the Druzhkivka hromada. The attack killed a 35-year-old man. Two other civilians sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and abrasions and went to the hospital.

In an interview with Politico, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that U.S. President Donald Trump has the leverage to end the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine—but to do so, his American counterpart must realize what game the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, is playing.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia “is simply lying to Trump.”

Most heads of state and government share my opinion, and I very much hope that America sees and understands this. This is the most important thing. And how to react to this – that is America’s decision,” he said.

According to Zelenskyy, it is Trump who has the power to stop the war, because “Putin understands nothing but strength, and America has that strength.”

He also emphasized that “Trump sees that the Russian side is not entirely sincere on the issues of the war.”

Zelenskyy pointed out that Russia can only win if the West abandons Ukraine. In his opinion, an American withdrawal from the war would be an “ideal scenario” for Putin.
